Leila Bečić, originally from Ključ, is a successful model who is building on her career walking down the world runways. In that way, she attempts to make her childhood dream come true-to persist in the world of modeling and try to fight for her place under the sun.
Leila was born in Switzerland, where she currently lives and works. In an interview, she spoke about her beginnings in the world of modeling and tough path to success.
Leila made her first steps in modeling when she was 12, applying for a pageant in the Ključ Municipality.
‘’Ever since I was I child, I used to steal my mom’s make up and high heels and pose in front of the mirror. However, before I was 12 I had no opportunity to apply to any pageant. When I heard that young talents are being looked for in the Ključ Municipality, I was sure it was my chance. I must tell you I was right. Since then, everything started-various shootings, for my book, revues for boutiques in Ključ, Sanski Most, Bihać, Banja Luka, and Fashion Week. It all started more serious just after the pageant for the Miss’’, said Leila.
When she stepped on the scene for the first time and started wearing hers instead of her mother’s heels-everything started going forward.
‘’I had the last international contract in Mumbai, where I spent last six months doing catalogues, prints for Hindi costumes and videos. My parent agency wanted to send me directly to Singapore after India because I was wanted there, but after a year I wanted to visit my family, and also come to my beautiful Bosnia. New season starts after the summer holidays’’.
