Yesterday, a meeting for potential investors from diaspora has been held at the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), where a new United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project grant call “Strengthening the role of diaspora in the economic development of BiH” was presented.

At a meeting attended by representatives of companies and entrepreneurs interested in cooperation and connecting with diaspora, the need for further strategic approach for encouraging investment from the community of BiH diaspora was emphasized.

As part of USAID activities intended for diaspora’s investors, 13 companies have already been supported through the first call of this grant program, and more of them through technical support activities. The program supports companies that have been established in the last three years, and have a relation with BiH diaspora. Grant applications are completed through site: http://www.grant.diasporainvest.ba until March 30th 2018.

Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH continue their work on informing the businessmen about investment co-financing opportunities, and they expressed their willingness to support investors in the further process of applying for this and other public calls. A clear message about the need to continue supporting diaspora investors has been made, in order to use the economic potential of our emigrants to its fullest.
