20 Years of Amko Komerc haber.baAmko Komerc, one of the largest domestic retail chains, is marking 20 days of successful business, said the PR Manager of this company Minela Džuho.

Since the far 1995 until today, Džuho said, the company evolved in a respectable group which, besides retail, deals with production and distribution as well.

“Recognizing the importance of domestic trade and what it means for the country’s economy, in 2006 Amko Komerc successfully realizes purchase of the famous BH enterprise UPI – TD marketi, and in 2010 the Dobrinja JSC as well, thereby significantly strengthening its retail network”, Džuho emphasized.

In that period, production activities have been increasingly discussed within the company. Consequently, in 2008 the company decides to undertake a large project and buy Hepok Mostar, evolving into a real production and trade giant.

“Since its founding, our company has regularly paid taxes and other liabilities to the state. Only in 2014 we paid 20 million BAM for taxes and contributions, and over 300 million BAM since 1995 until today. Nowadays we have 77 retail stores, and in the coming period we also intend to expand that network by opening new markets across B&H”, Džuho said.

“We intend to improve the operational process and raise service on a higher level. Currently, we are employing around 1,500 workers, and that number will significantly increase through the planned expansion in the coming period”, Džuho pointed out.
