When it comes to renewable sources of energy, this is one of the largest construction sites in B&H and broader, and it represents one of the largest investments in this Canton.

Namely, 3,200 panels will be placed at an area of 11,500 square meters. Total investment is worth around three million BAM, and this solar power plant is intended to produce one gigawatt of electrical energy annually. As highlighted on this occasion, this project will contribute to the improvement of electro energetic network, and the support of the Government of Bosna-Podrinje Canton will not lack, primarily when it comes to the improvement of infrastructure in this part of the municipality.

“In general, the strategic commitment of not only our Canton but the state of B&H is a stimulus to the renewable sources of electrical energy. Indeed, this is one nice example where people are engaged in implementation, while the largest part is still in research stage. We are lucky for having one businessman who recognized this opportunity, conducted all research which has shown that this terrain is suitable for such activities, and as the Government we will support this story to an extent to which our budget means allow. His is one nice story from Bosna-Podrinje Canton when speaking about the segment of sustainability of exploitation of alternative ways of creating electrical energy,” said the Prime Minister Emir Oković.

According to the investor Azem Bujak, this is one of the largest projects of this type in the Balkans. The return of investment is expected in the next seven to eight years.
