kta 1On the premises of the Archdiocesan Chancery Vrhbosna in Sarajevo, the Banja Luka Bishop and President of the Bishops’ Conference in BiH Msgr. Franjo Komarica met yesterday with the Chairman of the BIH House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Božo Ljubić.

Bishop Komarica informed Chairman Ljubić on the preparations for the international summit “Step Forward”, which is planned from 9-11 in Banja Luka.

He explained that the well-known American university called Harvard in Boston started the initiative, at his request.

He informed the Chairman of the activities undertaken, and that at the aforementioned peace summit it is planned to gather religious leaders and political representatives from BiH, neighboring countries and representatives of the international community. One of the main goals of the summit is to get the international community interested to take up work on peace and reconciliation, which includes facilitating the return of displaced peoples to their homeland.

Chairman Ljubić thanked Bishop Komarica on the information and promised his personal support and presence at the summit, and that his cabinet would do all to help. He added that he held several lectures throughout the world, and recently in the the US, where he specifically addressed the “Croatian questions” and the need for its solution as soon as possible. He said that the “Croatian question is of strategic importance for BiH, because if it is properly resolved, then the issue of the two other people in BiH is resolved”.

“This is an issue that is important for the entire region, because BIH is eventually unstable and that will cause instability in the entire region’’, concluded Chairman Ljubić.
