Union representatives from a detergent factory belonging to the Dita Tuzla Company and the management of Bingo Ltd. held a meeting yesterday which resulted in an agreement for the sale of products of the former industrial giant in the facilities of B&H’s largest retail chain.
“The company Bingo wants to help the workers of Dita, who are putting great effort to launch and maintain production. Initially, our products will be sold only in the Tuzla Canton, and eventually in all 146 retail facilities belonging to Bingo. What we have wished for is slowly being realized, and after this agreement, we will be even more confident and determined to maintain the production role in Dita”, said Dževad Mehmedović, the president of the Union of Dita.
Tatjana Paunoski, the public relations officer for Bingo Ltd., stated that this was the first meeting between the two boards, and that in the future, Bingo will strive to place Dita products into the market at reasonable prices.
“Apart from the fact that we support the Dita detergent factory through product placement in the market, we also decided to give them financial support for the production of a hundred tons of dishwashing detergent 3DE”, said Paunoski.
Hajrudin Kunalić, the bankruptcy trustee for Dita, stated that the bankruptcy process is taking its course, and that the main goal is to revive production and find a new strategic partner.
“There is the will of Bingo to show that bankruptcy is salvation for a new life and production. The aim is to preserve Dita as a complete factory, without its fragmentation to the production facilities”, said Kunalić.
The Prime Minister, Bego Gutić, reiterated that the companies can recover with reconstructed bankruptcy, and that Dita can be an example to serve as a roadmap to the workers of TTU as well.
It is also worthy to recall the words of Senad Džambić who, following the successful purchase of Interex, said, “we must give full support to domestic producers and hope for better”.
Džambić confirmed his words, citing Dita as an example, and after the products of the Tuzla factory take their place on the shelves, customers will be on the move.
