“Swedish Design” on the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo

aluWorkshop on the subject of “Swedish design” which is organized by the USAID FIRMA project in B&H in the framework of its activity “Business connection of the B&H wood sector with designers”, and as a part of the exhibition “Great!”, will be held on 11th and 12th of March at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.

The workshop is aimed for students of product design and for the representatives of furniture producers in B&H. Moreover, it is aimed to show modern Swedish furniture design, while Bosnian firms will get useful information regarding the possibility to conduct business with affirmed designers, as well as with the chains of furniture distributors in Sweden.

The workshop will be held by the prominent Swedish architect Lars Pettersson, who is affirmed in the sphere of furniture and interior design, and whose design is a part of many permanent collections in Sweden.

Participants at the workshop will have the opportunity to find out more about the Swedish furniture market, about the present wood furniture design and upholstery furniture. In addition, the general overview of the market indicators in Sweden, the distributive channels, wholesale and its specific requests will be shown.
