Last weekend, the swimmers of the “Orka” Aquatics Club participated in the Summer Swimming Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023, which was held at the City Olympic Swimming Pool in Banja Luka.

325 competitors from 22 clubs took part in the championship, and “Orka” was represented at this championship by 17 swimmers.

The swimmers of the Water Sports Club “Orka” brought 16 state championship titles, three national state records in absolute competition and 40 medals to the city of Mostar, the club announced.

They added that Lana Pudar excelled this time as well, swimming disciplines that are not her primary. However, this did not prevent her from breaking the national record limits three times in the disciplines of 100, 200 and 400 meters freestyle, swimming in these disciplines as well as times worthy of the norm for the appearance at the world senior championships, which will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, from July 23 to 30 in 2023.

As they say from Orka, the new state records are now: Discipline 100m freestyle; 55.91, 200m freestyle 2:01.99 and 400m freestyle 4:17.01.

“The medal balance would certainly have been much higher if several swimmers had not been prevented from taking part in this championship due to health reasons, which is why there were no “Orka” relays in two more categories. But certainly this result is also a fantastic achievement, because it is rejuvenated the “Orka” team achieved excellent results and has already established some young swimmers at the very top of BiH swimming,” they point out from the Mostar club.
