Abdullah Mehdi from Syria bought one of the largest buildings in Sarajevo that was empty for years. Final works are nearing their end, after which the building will be turned into a business center and Mehdi believes that that settlement will be the city’s new business center.

This building is the Kumrovec Business Center, built in 2008 in the settlement of Otoka. “The first time I came to Bosnia and Herzegovina was as a tourist and I had already recognized the potential that this country offers. Thanks to the cooperation from BiH, I decided to invest in BiH in order to enable the opening of a business center. I’m sure this country is a good opportunity to start a business,” Mehdi told FTV.

After several months of research, he decided to invest in a building that had been empty for eight years. He decided to complete her construction and started works.

“There is still much to be done in the building, but in the next few months this will be one of the most modern buildings in Sarajevo and the best business center. This part of the city will become much more attractive for investments,” Mehdi said.

Construction works are in the final phase, and by the end of the year more than 15,000 m2 will be available to various domestic and foreign investors. Over 300 workers have been engaged in the works and investors hope that the launch of the business center will improve the business environment in BiH and help the economic growth of our country.

As announced, some of the biggest global and domestic companies will also be located in the business center. Mehdi says the new modern business center will be an opportunity for new investors who decide to invest in BiH’s economic development.
