Information system for verification and monitoring of energy consumption “Enamsoft” was introduced in Zenica as a part of the project “Energy Efficiency Consultancy”. This system would control and monitor the energy consumption for the purpose of verification and monitoring of savings in three public sectors: buildings, public lighting and traffic.
Zenica Municipality is one of 9 municipalities in B&H that participates in the implementation of this project, realized by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ, with the commitment to B&H to establish a system for energy management until March 2016.
Zenica Municipality in accordance with obligations which took over by voluntarily participating in this project and with the aim of creating a suitable working environment for establishment of energy management has formed a Consultative Team for Energy Efficiency and has appointed managers for energy efficiency.
This municipality in cooperation with local development agency, public company “Grijanje”, “Vodovod i kanalizacija”, public company for spatial planning and urban arrangement “Zenica” and company “Zenicatrans-prevoz putnika” established its center for energy efficiency.
Project “Energy Efficiency Consultancy” in B&H, during its duration will provide technical support to selected municipalities for establishment of a system for energy management through 6 workshops and trainings with the aim of strengthening local government capacity.
