Competitive_table_tennisSecond international table tennis tournament ‘Stens Open 2013’ will be held on 22 and 23 June in the hall ‘Ramiz Salčin’, reports sportsport.ba

Organisers have confirmed that participants from neighbouring countries will come, as well as from Germany and Sweden, and the Chinese Minister of Sports with a team of 64 members has also announced that he’s coming.

On 22 June, younger players will compete and on 23 June older players will compete.

Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić said that this year is the 40th anniversary of the tournament and added that he’s honoured to sponsor such an important event.

President of the Organisational Board Gradimir Gojer noted that Sarajevo has become a great place for great sports events and noted that the first STENS had participants from 64 countries.

Around 300 participants will compete, and the legend of table tennis Dragutin Šurbeka will also attend the tournament.
