Tactical Exercise ‘Fire Strike 2024‘ was held in Serbia

Yesterday, a joint tactical exercise with live firing, “Fire Strike 2024,” was held at the “Pasuljanske Livade” training ground near Cuprija, in the presence of the highest state and military officials of Serbia. For the first time, the exercise showcased the operation of the “Pantsir” air defense system with missiles.

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, expressed pride in what was presented yesterday and thanked the representatives from Hungary who observed the exercise.

“I am proud of what we saw here today – the action of ‘Komarac 2,’ not only the machine gun action of ‘Mali Milos’ (small Milos) but also the rocket launcher, the use of rockets from ‘PASARS,’ and the ‘Kornet’ which hit enemy tanks with incredible precision at a distance of over 4.000 meters,” Vucic said yesterday after the exercise, which he rated as very good.

He thanked the participants of the exercise, stating that Serbia will need to continue working hard and strengthening the army, highlighting the issue of filling military ranks, especially in the areas of Belgrade and Vojvodina.

In response to a journalist’s question about whether the “Bayraktar” drones raised above Djakovica on June 5th and 20th belonged to Pristina or were Albanian, Vucic said that they belonged to Pristina and that their goal was to determine the operational capabilities of the Serbian Army, which Serbian services observed closely.

He noted that those drones would not have remained in the sky for long if the area were not under Kosovo Force’s  (KFOR) control, which Serbia respects.

Yesterday’s demonstration is the final phase of an exercise lasting three weeks, involving around 1.500 soldiers.

All the experiences that the army gathers will be used in the further development of modern military equipment.

The overall goal of the exercise is to improve the capability of gathering and distributing intelligence data and the efficiency of fire support on the modern battlefield, as well as to check the functionality of the organization and units of the Serbian Army.
