Satellites have been entitled as revolutionary miracle in the world since their inception, due to the fact that they offer countless new possibilities of connecting people and research what is invisible to the naked eye.
That’s also the case with satellites whose recordings uses popular Google Earth, and which show in a revolutionary how our planet, our continent, our country or city look like from a bird’s perspective. Although the fact that everyone can watch the Earth from space in their own home is revolutionary itself, Google Earth extensions are trying to introduce some daily novelties in their work.
Exactly one of the most interesting ones is the Google Earth’s Timelapse, which is presented in 2013, but just recently got some excellent novelties. Thus, each user is able to, thanks to the huge archives of satellite recordings, take a look at the development of any place on the planet from 1984 until today.
Using Earth Engine, this extension combines more than five million satellite images, which have been saved over the past three decades, with five different satellites. It is possible to zoom in on any part of Timelaps map, and thus you can see the development of Sarajevo since Olympics until today.
