Tanović got Silver Bear at the Berlinale Film Festival

received_1109840372400251The film “Death in Sarajevo” by the BiH director and Academy Award winner Danis Tanović won an award at the 66th Berlinale Film Festival.
Tanović won the Silver Bear in the category “Jury Award”. Prior to this, Tanović also receive dthe award presented by the jury of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).

The film “Death in Sarajevo” is based on the drama by the French philosopher Bernard Henry Levy “Hotel Europe”. It describes the assassination in the capital of BiH and its reflections on the present society in BiH.

The film stars Snežana Vidović, Izudin Bajrović, Vedrana Seksan, Muhamed Hadžović, Faketa Salihbegović-Avdagić, Edin Avdagić, the French actor Jacques Weber, Aleksandar Seksan, Boris Ler, Rijad Gvozden, Amar Selimović, Luna Zimić-Mijović, Milan Pavlović and others.
