For the first step, it is necessary to prepare the nomination for inclusion of the Jewish Cemetery in Sarajevo on the tentative list of world heritage, and the initiative with recommendation to form an expert team that will work on the preparation of the nomination will be submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of FBiH.

Commission for Preservation of National Monuments in BiH declared the Jewish Cemetery a national monument of BiH in 2004. The Jewish Cemetery in Sarajevo is the second largest Jewish Cemetery in Europe, right after the Jewish Cemetery in Prague.

Members of the National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO also supported the initiative for the inclusion of sevdalinka and Days of Lawn Mowing in Kupres on the UNESCO Representative List of Non-Material Heritage, and these initiatives as well will be submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of FBiH, together with recommendation for the formation of expert teams for preparation of nominations.
