Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić today received the ambassador of Japan Makoto Ito on a farewell visit.
Stating that the two countries have good and friendly relations, Cikotić particularly emphasized Ambassador Sakamoto’s contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of security cooperation and disaster prevention.
He added that thanks to Japan’s support, the protection and rescue services in Bosnia and Herzegovina are better equipped and ready to respond to any natural or other forms of disasters.
Exchange of experiences and visits by experts were also assessed as significant for capacity building and disaster risk reduction.
The two expressed expectation that the cooperation will be continued in the future with expansion to other areas of common interest, stated the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
