The 31st SFF opened with the World Premiere of the Film ‘Pavilion’

The 31st Sarajevo Film Festival opened in Sarajevo tonight with the premiere of the film “Pavilion” by Bosnian-Herzegovinian director Dino Mustafić.

At the National Theatre in Sarajevo, the director and the actors who play in this film were introduced to the audience before the screening, including Rade Šerbedžija, Zijah Sokolović, Miralem Zubčević, Ksenija Pajić, Jasna Diklić, Alban Ukaj and others.

On the eve of the official opening of the Festival, the audience had the opportunity to greet numerous guests on the red carpet, including one of this year’s winners of the “Heart of Sarajevo” award, the world-famous Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård.

This year’s winners of the “Heart of Sarajevo” include Paolo Sorrentino, Ray Winstone and Willem Dafoe.

Visitors to the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival will have the opportunity to watch 250 films from different countries around the world.

In the Festival’s competitive programs, 50 films will compete for the “Heart of Sarajevo” award, while one film will be screened out of competition. In four selections – feature, documentary, short and student film – 16 works will have world premieres, five international, 28 regional and two Bosnian premieres.
