In Višegrad, on the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, the anniversary of the wartime suffering of Bosniaks in the Višegrad area is traditionally commemorated.

Organized by the Association of the Families of the Missing “Višegrad 92”, during today’s event on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary, called “3,000 roses for 3,000 lives”, participants lowered roses from the bridge into the Drina river at noon because many victims during the war were killed in that place. and their bodies were then thrown into the water.

Therefore, each of the roses symbolically bears the name of those innocent victims, said Fena news agency, the president of the mentioned association, Hedija Kasapović.

Prayers for the victims were recited at the Stražište cemetery.
