The 562nd anniversary of the coronation of the last Bosnian king Stjepan Tomašević will be marked in Jajce on November 17, organized by the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce and the Jajce House of Culture.

As part of the anniversary program, it is planned to lay flowers in front of the coronation church, in Sveti Luka Street, and the “Picturesque Middle Ages” exhibition, by Emir and Edin Durmišević, will be opened in the Jajce House of Culture.

In the House of Culture, on the same day, a public presentation of the results of the scientific research project: “The face of medieval Bosnia” is planned.

Ensemble Audiatu participates in the music program.

On November 17, 1461, the last Bosnian king Stjepan Tomašević (1461-1463) was crowned with the papal crown in the church of St. Mary in Jajce.

With that act, Bosnia was recognized by the Pope, i.e. it gained its first international recognition, the organizers reminded.
