After several days of satisfactory quality of air, during the night and this morning in Sarajevo, the situation suddenly worsened and the air is unhealthy for the population this morning. Air quality index measured at 7:00 a.m. was 164.

This implies the possible occurrence of increased symptoms in people with diseases of the heart and respiratory organs, such as asthma.

Everyone else could start to feel the negative impact of pollution on their health.

Lung and heart patients, pregnant women, children and the elderly should reduce any outdoor physical activity.

Everyone else should also avoid prolonged or more significant strain while outside.

According to measurements in other BiH cities, the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups in the area of Lukavac and Tuzla, where the air quality index was 150 and 127.
