Five dead bodies were found on Christmas Day in an apartment near Paris, French prosecutors said on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the town of Meaux, some 40 kilometers east of central Paris, in the northern region of Ile-de-France.
News site Actu17 reported that the victims were a woman and her four young children.
Police are said to be looking for the 33-year-old father who is “on the run”. He was already known to the police and is the main suspect in this case.
The bodies were found around 9pm local time on Monday, according to Act17.
Prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier confirmed to AFP that five bodies had been found. Police did not immediately release details on the cause of death or the ages of the five victims.
