From the beginning of the war in Ukraine, on February 24, to August 21 of this year, 31,153 citizens of Ukraine entered Bosnia and Herzegovina, and since the beginning of the year, 32,349 of them.
From February 24 to August 21, 29,147 Russian citizens were registered at the entrance to BiH.
Last year, in the same period, 5,850 citizens of Russia and 20,804 citizens of Ukraine were registered at the entrance to BiH, which means that the arrivals of Russian citizens have increased since then – stated the Border Police of BiH.
From the beginning of the year to August 21, 32,349 citizens of Ukraine were registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while in the same period, 32,422 citizens of Russia were registered at the entrance to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“For the sake of comparison, last year, in the same period, 6,687 citizens of Russia and 21,236 citizens of Ukraine were registered,” spokeswoman for the BiH Border Police, Franka Vican Boskovic, told Fena news agency.
Let us remind you that the Council of Ministers of BiH, on the proposal of the Ministry of Security, passed a decision in April facilitating the entry and stay of citizens of Ukraine in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of humanitarian reasons caused by the security situation in that country.
Citizens of Ukraine are granted a stay of up to six months, with the provision that the temporary stay can be extended for humanitarian reasons.
