The CEC banned 15 Parties from participating in the 2022 Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), at its 76th session held on November 18th, 2021. banned 15 political parties from participating in the 2022 elections, due to non-submission of financial reports for 2020.

According to the CEC, they were also prevented from reviewing the financial reports at the parties’ premises, and they were given an administrative measure to deny them the right to run in the next elections.

“The right to run in the next elections is banned for the Croatian Party of Rights of BiH, BH Free Democrats, Democratic Family Party, Civic Democratic Party, List for Bugojno, Political Organization ‘Your Movement’, Economic Movement of BiH, League of Communists of Yugoslavia, Alliance for Stari Grad, Croatian Party of Rights of BiH, Croatian Peasant Party of BiH, ‘New Alternative’ – Labor and Development Party of BiH, Serbian Radical Party ‘January 9th‘, Serbian Renewal Movement of Republika Srpska (RS) and Political Organization ‘Independent List – Positive Poultry Story’ ” it was said by the CEC.

They added that decisions on imposing an administrative measure are not final and can be appealed to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH within 15 days from the date of receipt of the mentioned decision.

General elections in BiH should be held in the fall of 2022.
