The caskets with the remains of ten genocide victims arrived at the Potočari Memorial Center, where they will remain until the collective funeral and burial on July 11.

The families of the victims waited for the convoy to transfer the coffins to the hall of the Memorial Center, where they will be placed until the day when their loved ones find their final peace. For many families, this ends the more than three-decade-long search for the remains of their loved ones.

The youngest victims were 20 years old
Among the ten victims who will be buried this year are people who were between 20 and 56 years old at the time of their death.

Even three of those killed were only 20 years old. The youngest victim was born in 1975, while the oldest is Ramo Dautović, born in 1939.

Remains found in several graves
The remains of the victims were found in different localities, in secondary and tertiary mass graves in the area of Bratunac, Srebrenica and Zvornik.

In the Potočari Memorial Center, families gathered to pay their last respects to their loved ones before the collective funeral.

About 950 victims are still being sought
According to the data of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, around 950 victims of genocide are still being searched for.

Many families are still waiting for additional remains of their loved ones to be found before giving consent for their burial, hoping to find the last parts of their bodies.
