The giant of the purpose-built industry “Igman” from Konjic celebrated its 72nd anniversary on Sunday, and on that occasion,a new production line was opened.

A 7.62 mm caliber production line has been opened.

For this investment, Igman bought a modern production line, and this year it is planned to hire about 100 new workers.

The value of this investment is slightly higher than 10 million euros, and as previously announced by this company, in this way they will increase the production of this caliber of ammunition by about 50 million pieces per year.

The company was founded on March 6th, 1950, and since then, as of today, it has been producing small-caliber ammunition, caliber 5.56, then 7.62, up to 12.7 millimeters.

“Currently, about 1.380 workers enter the Igman Gate in all three shifts. With the new equipment, ie this line that was bought from France and which we expect to be put into operation in the second half of this year, around July 1st, we think that we will need about a hundred new workers, ” the director of this company, Dzahid Muratbegovic, emphasized in January.
