The public inspection of the request for a preliminary impact assessment for the construction project of the Vlasic Wind Park, with an installed power of up to 50 MW in the municipality of Travnik, is underway.

The investor of the project is Public Company Elektroprivreda Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) d.d. Sarajevo. Public review will last 30 days (starting on September 20th).

The document was made available for inspection by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism in accordance with the Law on Environmental Protection. Complete documentation can be viewed at the Ministry’s premises.

Namely, in March of this year, the BiH Council of Ministers approved a proposal for a financing agreement between BiH and the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the “Vlasic” Wind Power Project.

As it was said then, the implementation of the project will be co-financed by the EIB with a loan in the amount of 36 million euros, with a repayment period of 20 years, including a four-year grace period.

The funds will be allocated to the Federation of BiH (FBiH), and the project implementer is “Elektroprivreda BiH” d.d. Sarajevo. The realization of the project is planned for 2024.

In 2020, the federal government supported the initiative to secure a total of 72,000,000 euros for the construction of the Vlasic Wind Power Plant with a loan from the EIB and the Kreditanstalt for Wiederaufbau, Frankfurt am Main (KfW), Biznis Info reports.
