“Yesterday SIPA received the request of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers to verify the accuracy of information that is in the form ”Statements of Central Election Commission” stated by Ismir Jusko, the proposed candidate for the Minister of Communications and Transport to the Council of Ministers. The police officers of SIPA, in accordance with the legal powers, took appropriate actions in order to verify the accuracy of the information presented by the said candidate, after which the results will be submitted to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers,” emphasized SIPA.
In accordance with the Law of the Council of Ministers the deadline for vetting candidates for ministers and deputy ministers in the Council of Ministers is 30 days.
The work of the Council of Ministers has for months been incomplete, after the people from the Democratic Front were dismissed. After SBB joined the council the new candidate for those positions were Bakir Dautbašić and Sead Jusić. However, shortly after that Dautbašić was arrested and is currently in trial. Therefore, the whole process of appointing new ministers was postponed.
SIPA and the CIK have already checked all the information regarding Sead Jusić, candidate for deputy state minister of defense, so now they’re only waiting for the results for Ismir Jusko, who could be elected for the position of Minister of Transport and Communication.
If during next week, SIPA submits required data to the Council of Ministers, the new minister could already be present on the next session of the House of Representatives of BiH on 11th of May, and the Council of Ministers could finally work at full capacity.
