The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Draft Budget of the Institutions

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 92nd regular session, adopted the draft budget of the institutions of BiH and international obligations.

The draft envisages that each employee in state institutions will be paid a one-time assistance in the amount of 1,000 BAM, while it was concluded that the amount of assistance will be increased to 1,200 BAM in the next budget.

The budget, among other things, also plans to finance the Central Election Commission of BiH for the purpose of purchasing new technologies for the next elections.

The document was prepared by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, and after it is reviewed by the Presidency of BiH, the budget will be sent to the parliamentary procedure, for adoption in both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Unlike the previous proposal of the Presidency of BiH, this draft does not envisage funds for financing seven cultural institutions or additional funds for BHRT.

The Presidency of BiH and parliamentary representatives have the opportunity to submit amendments to the proposal, unless the document is considered under urgent procedure.

Recall that the 2025 budget was supposed to be adopted back in October last year, but the first official proposal arrived only in April this year, and previous attempts to adopt it in the House of Representatives did not receive the necessary support.
