The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina postponed the execution of the decision of the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data of BiH until the final court decision, because otherwise it could cause serious consequences for the functioning of already established electronic services that are used, the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of BiH /IDDEEA/ announced.
The Agency stated that the Court concluded that the execution of the contested decision before the administrative dispute was concluded could lead to consequences that would later be extremely difficult or impossible to completely remove, thus calling into question the effectiveness of the future court decision.
This is precisely why it was decided to maintain the current situation until the final verdict is passed, the statement added.
At the same time, the IDDEEA stated that they will “continue to responsibly carry out the responsibilities prescribed by law, ensure the continuity of the provision of electronic services to citizens, institutions and business entities”.
The BiH Agency for the Protection of Personal Data has permanently prohibited the IDDEEA from processing personal data for the purpose of issuing qualified electronic certificates for electronic signing, except in the digital signing process in the field of identification documents.
