The death toll from starvation has risen to 40 in Gaza, where Israel has been carrying out violent attacks since October 7, 2023, and where conditions are extremely difficult due to severe shortages of food, water, medicine and fuel.

As announced by the Palestinian agency WAFA, the child from Gaza died in the “Al-Aqsa” hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah as a result of severe hunger and thirst.

Hospital sources stated that with this case, the number of victims of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip increased to 40.

Sources from the “Kamal Adwan” hospital, located in the city of Beit Lahiya in the north of the Gaza Strip, also announced that signs of malnutrition were recorded in more than 200 children in the Gaza Strip, and that there is a humanitarian disaster in the north of the Gaza Strip.

“At least 37,266 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year,” the Ministry of Health in the besieged enclave announced on Friday.

Israel continues its brutal offensive against the Gaza Strip despite a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.

Israel has been accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in its latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately suspend the operation in Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians have sought refuge from the war, AA writes.
