The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of Canton Sarajevo (CS) to impose prohibitive measures on the director of ”Bosnalijek”, Nedim Uzunovic, who was arrested three days ago in a State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) “AS” operation.

He was released pending trial the day before yesterday, it was confirmed by Uzunovic’s legal team.

Professor at the Faculty of Economics Mehmed Jahic and his wife Elvira Jahic were also released.

Prohibition measures have been imposed regarding the ban on meeting with certain persons, while a measure prohibiting the undertaking of certain business activities or official duties has been proposed for Mehmed Jahic.

On Thursday, as part of the “AS” operation, members of SIPA searched the business and residential buildings in several locations in the area of Sarajevo and Konjic.

The searches were carried out on the orders of the Cantonal and Municipal Courts in Sarajevo and under the supervision of the acting Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of CS, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSA BiH), the Federal Police Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of CS, and the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) Ministry of Internal Affairs.
