The 8th Congress of Diaspora BiH in Sarajevo

congress diasporaThe 8th Congress of Diaspora BiH will be held in Sarajevo from 3rd to 5th June 2016. The official opening ceremony will take place on 4th of June 2016 at the BiH Parliamentary Assembly building in Sarajevo.

The organizer is the World Diaspora Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the sponsors are the presidency Chairman of BiH Bakir Izetbegović, the Chairman of Ministry’s Council Denis Zvizdić and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH. The call for sponsorship was also addressed to the two other members of presidency BiH, Mladen Ivanić and Dragan Čović.

The main topic of this year’s congress is: ”The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Diaspora: the Common Future.”

They will also discuss the diaspora’s influence on economic development, preservation of the mother tongue of diaspora in supplementary schools and cultural activities.

All representatives of members of the World Diaspora Association of BiH will participate in this congress, as well as the representatives of BiH institutions, Office of the High Representative, accredited ambassadors in BiH and members of non-governmental organizations.
