The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, met today with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Mark Rutte. Today’s working visit by NATO Secretary General Rutte comes in the context of geopolitical challenges on a global level, developments on the European continent, as well as internal political challenges in BiH.

Krišto briefed Rutte on the political current events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the two high-ranking officials also discussed the political and security segment in the region and the entire European continent.

Chairperson Krišto emphasized that there are no security threats in BiH and that all institutions continue to operate smoothly and professionally perform their duties.

Geopolitical developments on a global and European level consequently always spill over to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Despite all the challenges, the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its institutions is a common interest of all political actors. Joint dialogue and the adoption of key decisions by political representatives of all three constituent peoples is a common interest.

Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO continue a high level of joint cooperation while ensuring peace, stability and security of the entire region, it was concluded at the meeting, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
