Gudeljevic met with the Ambassador of Egypt to BiH

The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Ankica Gudeljevic talked yesterday in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to BiH, Yasser Abdelrahman Ali Sorour.

This was the first visit of the Egyptian Ambassador to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, so it was used to inform each other about the most significant activities and possible areas of cooperation.

Minister Gudeljevic informed her interlocutor about the different coordination competencies of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, emphasizing that the past two years in the activities of the Ministry have been marked by pandemics and the fight for health. She stressed that the focus of the activities is the development of Covid digital certificates for the people of BiH, and the interest of BiH and Egypt in exchanging information in this area with the aim of mutual recognition of Covid certificates and facilitated travel was expressed.

Ali Sorour reminded that his country produces vaccines and offered support in procurement for BiH citizens. Besides cooperation in the field of health and medicine, the establishment of cooperation between young people and possible joint projects were discussed. Ambassador Ali Sorour thanked for the reception and open conversation and expressed readiness for cooperation that will be productive for both sides.
