cedomirLeader of the Liberal Democratic Party from Serbia Čedomir Jovanović was in Srebrenica on July 11, where he paid tribute to the innocent victims of the genocide that happened in 1995.

Jovanović earlier said that his arrival to Srebrenica is his human obligation and political duty. Upon entering the Memorial Center Potočari, Jovanović wrote in the Book of Condolences.

This is what he wrote:

“Under the burden of innocent victims of Srebrenica, Serbia will disappear unless it starts searching for its happiness and peace among the Bosniaks from whom the Serb crimes and killings on July 11 took everything away.

The path to this catharsis is not easy, but it is worth it.

The freedom and honor of my nation and my country depend on our readiness to assume responsibility and condemn criminals and politics lead in our name.

Only then we can find forgiveness in Bosnia and peace for all of us, Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats.

Sincerely,

Čedomir Jovanović.
