The European Union will send teams to help flood-affected areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirmed the head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina has just activated the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (EUCPM),” announced Soreca on the X platform on Saturday evening.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a request for international assistance in the rehabilitation of the consequences of floods and landslides that affected several municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Mechanism for Civil Protection of the European Union.
The request was sent after the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision that, due to the extent of the floods, international assistance is needed in the remediation of the consequences and submitted a list of the most necessary equipment and resources.
