A lecture for farmers within traditional manifestation of “Days of cornfields” is held in village Ostrožac near Cazin. The representatives of the leading seed companies in the region through this lecture promoted several corn hybrids in order to familiarize farmers with the hybrids that previously were not known, but also to test new hybrids in different agro-ecological conditions.
The department in April of this year set up a macro view of the 43 hybrids in collaboration with six leading seed companies in the region. During the growing season the growth and development of hybrids was monitored and during the event “Days of cornfields” their genetic potential will be presented.
