Deputy Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Slaven Galić and State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Croatia Zdravko Jakop stated in Zagreb that cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and security is an important and mutually beneficial segment of overall relations.
Galić said that intensive bilateral cooperation takes place at all levels, from tactical to strategic level, and that the Ministry of Defense of BiH is ready to work on further improvement of bilateral relations and cooperation in the interest of both countries, which is a pledge for regional security and stability.
Jakop promised full support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to full membership in European integration, the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
The statement adds that the Government of Croatia plans to provide 500,000 euros for the telecommunications equipment of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina through NATO’s support package for the construction of defense capacities, while NATO is investing 32.5 million euros in the security sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 15.5 million are for the Armed Forces. euros.
