The Fifth International Fair of Precious Stones opened in Zenica

The fifth international two-day fair of precious and semi-precious stones and crystals “Zenica 2023” gathered today in Shopping City Bingo a record 24 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia.

The fair has an exhibition and sales character, and is organized by crystal lovers from Zenica, Muamer and Vernes Islamović, within the framework of the “Gorski Kristal” Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Lovers of crystals and minerals gathered at the small jubilee of this fair, where we mostly have exhibitors from BiH, several from Croatia and one exhibitor from Serbia. We have exhibited crystals from all over the world, and our favorites are crystals from our immediate neighborhood – Busovača and the towns of the Central Bosnian Canton. These are crystals that are very popular among collectors,” said Muamer Islamović.

He notes that the headquarters of the “Gorski Kristal” Association of FBiH is in Visoko and that it has about 5,000 members, but there are about 50 permanent members who exhibit their exhibits at fairs. Despite the fact that, he underlined, they are not supported by the local community, he is satisfied that they have four more exhibitors than last year, when there were 20.

Samra Škripić points out that she exhibits minerals from all over the world and jewelry made of crystals, precious and semi-precious stones.

“In small bottles, I would say, “poison is hidden” and so are valuable crystals and minerals. We have aquamarine, which is very expensive,” said Škripić, who noted that the three known locations of these valuables are Kreševo, Vareš and Busovača, i.e. the cities of central Bosnia, Fena writes.
