The First Case of Coronavirus confirmed in Mostar

The first case of coronavirus infection was confirmed in the city of Mostar on Tuesday, according to Fena news agency.

The infected patient is a man admitted to the University Clinical Hospital (SKB) Mostar on Monday together with his son.

“Two patients from the wider Mostar area – father and son, with respiratory problems and pneumonia – were admitted to SKB Mostar on Monday and were placed in the Department of Pulmonary Diseases.

During this morning at SKB Mostar they were tested for Covid-19, father’s results were positive while negative result was confirmed for his son,” announced the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

A new case of coronavirus infection in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been confirmed on Tuesday, and as confirmed by the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo to Klix.ba news portal, the infected is a person from Bihac city.

The University of Sarajevo Clinical Center today tested seven samples for coronavirus, two of them from Sarajevo and five from Bihac. As it has been confirmed, one of the samples from Bihac is coronavirus positive.

The others are negative. The infected woman from Bihac, returned from Munich seven days ago.

This is the 27th confirmed case of coronavirus in BiH so far, of which six are infected from the Federation of BiH entity and twenty from the Republika Srpska entity.

Additional 15 samples will be tested today.
