The first Official Commemoration at the UN at a high level on July 11

Based on the resolution of the UN General Assembly entitled “International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995”, which was adopted on May 23, 2024, the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN, New York will organize the first official commemoration at the UN at a high level, on the occasion of commemorating the 29th anniversary of the genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica in 1995.

As announced, the commemoration will be held in the plenary hall of the UN General Assembly on July 11 at 11:00 a.m. local time (5:00 p.m. CET), with a live broadcast via UN TV, which can be downloaded at the following link :

The commemoration will be held in English.
