opcina2509Mayor of Tuzla Municipality Jasmin Imamović, with associates received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jan Pšenica.

Tuzla is the first city that the newly appointed Ambassador of the Slovak Republic visited as part of his official visit to B&H municipalities. The Ambassador visited the memorial center in Srebrenica before his arrival to Tuzla.

The Mayor Imamović thanked the Ambassador for visiting Tuzla and Srebrenica, stressing that the Slovak Republic is an example of great progress after EU accession.

The Ambassador Jan Pšenica pointed out that the reason for his visit is to get to know the situation in the city, the lifestyle, problems and opportunities for cooperation at all levels, especially in the field of culture and entrepreneurship. He also highlighted that Tuzla is a very successful Municipality, which has its own development strategy and that there is room for mutual support, especially the support of Slovakia to B&H on the path towards joining the EU and NATO.
