There is an increasing popularization of cycling in our country. Cities are getting bicycle paths and more and more activities are conducted in order to make this sport more popular, cycling clubs are established, critical masses are organized etc. The bicycle as a form of transportation is commonly accepted way of transportation from point A to point B among citizens, but cyclists are still facing with problems of lack of cycling infrastructure, trails and parking lots, which would significantly contribute to the expansion of this type of transportation and reducing of traffic jams.
Core business BCBicycles is engaged in development and production of assembled electric bikes. With the use of latest technologies in the field of mechanical engineering, electronics and IT, their aim is to create practical and energy efficient way of transportation in urban areas and they are actively working on it.
The first production of the smart electric bicycle should be produced by the end of next year and they will be available on our market. The basic components of this bicycle are unique and it is impossible to buy only the parts and then install them on the frame. They were even forced to re-develop already known parts in certain areas, because when it comes to the mechanics, one small thing can completely change the whole assembly.
The company that provided them with the biggest support regarding the production of the bicycle frame is company Bekto Precisa from Gorazde.
“We agreed on future cooperation so we are planning to produce bicycle frames in Gorazde, most of the electrical components will be ordered from abroad, while the final product will be assembled in Sarajevo,” said Keserovic.
BCBicycles has appeared at international conferences in B&H and abroad where investors showed the interest in their products, however they find investing in startups in our country to be too risky.
After start the production of their first product, BCBicycles is planning to form several more teams, which will be engaged in the development of different products for cyclists.
“The further development of our product costs a lot but we are motivated and we will find the way to successfully realize this idea,” said Keserovic.
