The five highest Salaries in the Federation this Year

The consequences of the economic crisis, inflation and daily attacks on the living standards of citizens seem like a gentle breeze for a certain number of employees, whose monthly incomes reach dizzying amounts.

This is shown by the data of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Tax Administration on the five highest salaries paid in 2024.

According to the official records of the Tax Administration of the FBiH, the highest salary in the amount of 395,685 BAM was paid in the production activity.

Based on the data from the monthly report on paid wages, realized benefits and other taxable income of employees from non-independent activities, paid contributions and advance payment of income tax, in second place is an employee engaged in the activity of wholesale trade with the amount of 258,195 BAM.

The payment of 251,565 BAM to an employee in the field of monetary mediation was also reported to the Tax Administration of BiH, and 200,350 BAM, that is, 142,763 BAM each, was earned by two other merchants, employees in trade, that is, wholesale trade.

”We see that here too there are high salaries and fees for managers, which stimulate their work. It seems disproportionate compared to us, the common people, but it is a world trend that our companies also follow, in order to keep their managers and thus stimulate them. It is definitely positive that they properly declare and pay their tax obligations,” says Nikola Papac, professor of the Faculty of Economics in Mostar.

At the same time, minimum wages in FBiH are 619 BAM, in Republika Srpska (RS) 900 BAM, and the average net salary paid in May at the level of BiH is 1,388 BAM. The amount of the average salary is certainly influenced by the record monthly payments in certain industries, Biznis Info writes.
