mineGermany yesterday signed a contract with “Norwegian People’s Aid” (NPA), which continues to support humanitarian demining in BiH.

By signing another contract in the amount of approximately 500,000 EUR with the NPA, Ambassador of Germany, Christian Hellbach, confirmed the continuation of long-time engagement of Germany in the field of humanitarian demining.

With this support, NPA can continue with demining activities in the area of Doboj/Usora, where they started with cleaning of localities last year.

The total financial assistance of Germany in the field of humanitarian demining in BiH this year will amount to 1.7 million EUR. Other resources will be given to BiH companies through the tender, as announced by partner organization “Enhancing Human Security” (ITF).

German Government supports humanitarian demining in BiH since 1997, and they put around 32 million EUR at disposal for this purpose so far, as announced from the Embassy of Germany in BiH.
