The Government of Montenegro accepted today the proposals for an agreement between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina on social insurance and an administrative agreement for its implementation.

At today’s session, the Government adopted the report on the negotiations between the delegations of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with the conclusion of the agreement on social security, the Montenegrin Government announced.

“The conclusion of the agreement will enable the regulation of mutual relations in the field of pension and disability insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and other issues from the domain of social insurance, and in particular the equalization of the rights of citizens based on residence and work in the contracting countries,” the announcement specifies.

The Government of Montenegro also adopted the information on the conclusion of the protocol between the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro and the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia on cooperation during the tourist season and accepted the text of the protocol.

The protocol stipulates, at the request of the Montenegrin police, that the Serbian police send three police officers of the criminal police and three uniformed police officers of general jurisdiction to Montenegro in the period from July 1 to September 1, in periods of no less than 20 days.

In joint work with Montenegrin police officers, police officers from Serbia help achieve better communication with tourists and jointly contribute to a favorable security environment on the Montenegrin coast, according to the announcement.

The information reminds that since 2012, an exchange of police officers with Serbia has been continuously carried out in Montenegro in order to increase security during the tourist season.

“This kind of cooperation contributes to the strengthening of security protection through the exchange of experiences and preventive action against criminal activities of an international character during the tourist season,” the statement added.
