The high school “Ismet Mujezinović” won the first prize at the program “The selection of the most democratic school” for the category of high schools. This activity is implemented by Civitas B&H.
The high school project “the selection of the most democratic school” is developed with the aim of enabling more comprehensive and active use of the universal democratic principles in schools. Other objectives of this project are to increase the participation of students and parents in transparent decision making process at the school level, intensive partnership with the community, with NGOs and orientation towards acceptance of diversity and multiculturalism. 59 schools are participating at the pilot stage of the project.
The high school “Ismet Mujezinović” since its establishment nurtures democratic values, emphasizing the importance of students, parents and professors votes in the processes of decision making at the school level.
For winning this prize, the high school “Ismet Mujezinović” will be given technical equipments worth 1.600 BAM value. The official promotion of the contest results and the prizes and recognition awards will be organized in Sarajevo on 27 November 2013.
