The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted an initiative that requires the Council of Ministers to prepare within 60 days a proposal for amendments to the Law on VAT in order to refund VAT for the purchase of food and baby equipment to a parent or guardian of a child of age up to two years.
Deputies also adopted the Proposal for Amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives, according to which the term kleptocracy is deleted from the name of the Commission for the Fight against Corruption.
In the second round of voting, deputies adopted amendments to the Law on Traffic Safety, which envisage stricter punishment for those who refuse alcohol or drug testing.
A special fine of 4,000 BAM is provided for a driver or instructor who refuses to be tested for the presence of alcohol in the blood, drugs or medication, and, in addition to a fine, a six-month driving ban and six penalty points are also provided for.
The MPs did not adopt the Report on the Implementation of the 2022 Elections submitted by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Report on the Implementation of the Laws Under the Commission’s Jurisdiction, and they will be announced later.
The House of Representatives also approved the ratification of a series of contracts between Bosnia and Herzegovina and international financial institutions.
At today’s session, the conclusion of SDP deputy Saša Magazinović for solving the problem of airline tickets in the institutions of BiH was adopted, as well as the conclusion of Šemsudin Mehmedović, which requests the Collegium of the House to include in the agenda for each session, in addition to the number, the name of the proposed initiative .
After the end of the regular session, the emergency session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities began.
