The participants of the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Cooperation Process in South-Eastern Europe /PSSEECP/ in Budva adopted a declaration confirming the key role of PSSEECP in strengthening stability and prosperity in South-Eastern Europe and emphasizing the determination for European integration of the entire region, which will be the main goal of PSSEECP – and in the next decade.

The declaration encourages PSSEECP member states, which are also EU members, to continue to act as the main promoters of the enlargement process for all candidates for EU membership, and calls on all EU members to take further steps to advance the accession process, make it more efficient, predictable and credible.

In addition, PSSEECP will form an ad hoc working body for European integration issues with the aim of accelerating the European path and exchanging good practices in the process of European integration of the countries of the region that are candidates for full EU membership.

Member of the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Cooperation Process in Southeast Europe /PSSEECP/ Ilija Cvitanović said that the vision of full integration of the countries of the region into the EU has no alternative.

In his address to the participants of the 10th plenary session, he emphasized that PSSEECP has been focusing on the infrastructure and economic connectivity of the countries of Southeast Europe for the last five years, and added that the governments and parliaments of the countries of the region should continue to support the process of regional cooperation

The delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina included Mladen Bosić, Nermin Mandra, Zlatan Begić and DŽemal Smajić.

The plenary session in Budva marked the decade of existence of this regional initiative, and the theme was “Ten years of PSSEECP – the next decade for better integration and a more certain perspective of the region of Southeast Europe in the EU. Together in PSSEECP – together in the EU”.
