The International Romani Day marked

romiMinister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Tuzla Canton Zlatan Muratovic attended the event of marking the 8th of April, the International Romani Day.

In order to motivate students who achieved great success, the relevant ministry in cooperation with the Pedagogical Institute, PI “Second Primary School” from Zivinice and the OSCE Mission to BiH, organized the promotion of successful Romani schoolchildren in Canton Tuzla.

A total of 39 students were awarded, 37 from primary schools and 2 from the high school. The central manifestation was held in the Bosnian Cultural Center in Zivinice.

Government of Tuzla Canton is working hard to improve the conditions of education for all children, and to ensure adequate education for Romani children through various projects, textbooks for children in need of social care, transport, single scholarships for excellent students and their inclusion in social trends, and they are especially committed to 100 % coverage of Romani children in primary education.
